Downtown Delray's October Runs on Two Clocks

October 8, 2026

Restaurant Month in Downtown Delray officially ran September 1 through 30, 2026. It had more than 50 restaurants, cafés and fast-casual spots, and a free mobile pass that ended with the month. Fifteen of those places kept their offers going into October, according to the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority. The Palm Beach Post confirmed the extension on October 1. The extension doesn't work the way the original promotion did. The pass is gone, so you redeem the deals in person at each restaurant. Two of the offers also end halfway through the month.

Meanwhile, a second clock starts later in October. On Saturday, October 24, the Winter GreenMarket returns to Old School Square on the same day as Halloween in Downtown Delray, and the Saturday calendar fills again from there. The weeks before that date have the most leftover offers to choose from and fewer fixed events to plan around.

Two Cutoffs on the Same List

Restaurant Month's 11th year closed on September 30. The October extension runs through the 31st for most participants. The DDA's own list shows two exceptions, both from the Amar group, which stop on October 15. Here is the full extension list as the DDA publishes it, sorted by cutoff and then by price.

Restaurant Address October offer Listed cutoff
Amar Sandwich Shop 522 E Atlantic Ave $17 sandwich combo October 15
Amar Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar 25 SE 6th Ave $45 prix fixe October 15
W XYZ Bar at Aloft Delray Beach 202 SE 5th Ave $25 prix fixe October 31
Dada 52 N Swinton Ave $39 prix fixe October 31
Lulu's Café & Cocktails 189 NE 2nd Ave $39 prix fixe October 31
Avalon Beach House 110 E Atlantic Ave, Suite 220 $45 prix fixe October 31
Campi Italian 233 NE 2nd Ave $49 prix fixe, $20 wine pairing October 31
Big Al's Steaks 450 E Atlantic Ave $50 cheesesteak meal for two October 31
Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse 601 E Atlantic Ave, Suite 109 $65 prix fixe October 31
Double Knot 22 W Atlantic Ave Izakaya-style prix fixe October 31
Kapow Noodle Bar 32 SE 2nd Ave Prix fixe plus happy hour October 31
Jimmy's Bistro 9 S Swinton Ave 15% off the check, Monday to Thursday October 31
Gelato & Co 418 E Atlantic Ave 20% off gelato cake October 31
Carmela Coffee 247 SE 6th Ave 10% off October 31
Polar Shake 822 E Atlantic Ave Buy one smoothie, get one 50% off October 31

The prix-fixe prices run from $25 at W XYZ Bar to $65 at Hyde Park Prime. That's a $40 spread for menus sold under the same promotion. Double Knot and Kapow Noodle Bar list their October menus without a published price. Check before you sit down. Jimmy's Bistro is the only one whose discount depends on the day of the week. The 15% runs Monday through Thursday, which makes it a weeknight dinner deal.

Where the Fifteen Sit

The table becomes a walking plan once you look at the addresses. The extended offers fall into three groups, and each one is a short walk end to end.

  • East Atlantic and the SE 5th and 6th Avenue blocks. Gelato & Co, Big Al's Steaks, Amar Sandwich Shop, Hyde Park Prime, Polar Shake, Amar Mediterranean, Carmela Coffee and W XYZ Bar at Aloft. This is the largest group. It covers almost every price point on the list, from 10% off a coffee to a $65 steakhouse menu.
  • NE 2nd Avenue in Pineapple Grove. Lulu's Café & Cocktails at 189 and Campi Italian at 233. A new restaurant at 165 NE 2nd Ave, on the same street, opens officially this week.
  • Swinton Avenue and just west of it. Dada at 52 N Swinton, Jimmy's Bistro at 9 S Swinton and Double Knot at 22 W Atlantic, with Avalon Beach House and Kapow Noodle Bar a few blocks east.

That last group matters most in late October, because it's the closest to Old School Square at 51 N Swinton Ave. That's where the GreenMarket and Kidsfest both set up on October 24.

Alma Gets Its Ribbon on Monday

The newest name in Pineapple Grove is replacing a familiar one. The DDA has scheduled an official ribbon-cutting and grand opening for Alma at 165 NE 2nd Ave on Monday, October 5, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event listing invites guests to:

"Reunite with our team, tour our newly transformed space, and help us mark this exciting new chapter in Delray Beach's dining community."

The "reunite" part makes sense once you know the space was Table 165. Alma's website describes the menu as Modern American cuisine led by Chef Coton Stine, with influences from around the world. Boca Magazine's February 2026 review of Table 165 named Stine as that restaurant's chef too. Alma's team page lists Jorge Sanchez, Coton Stine and Coco Coig as co-founders and Alex Sanchez as managing partner. Neither the DDA nor the restaurant has said publicly why the name changed. For now, the clearest facts are the new space, the same chef and a Monday evening open to the public.

Alma isn't on the Restaurant Month extension list. A dinner on NE 2nd Ave this month can still pair Alma with the Campi Italian and Lulu's deals farther up NE 2nd Ave.

Sundy Village Is Filling In

At the other end of the district, 22 W Atlantic Ave is becoming a dining address in its own right. Double Knot opened at Sundy Village on Wednesday, June 17, the Palm Beach Post reported in July. Its izakaya-style prix fixe is one of the fifteen October extensions.

Drinking Pig BBQ is the next tenant at the same address. In June, the Post reported a projected September opening. As of early October, the DDA directory still lists it as "Coming Soon" and doesn't give an opening date.

A few blocks southeast, [solidcore] opened a studio at 27 SE 4th Ave on September 24. Grand-opening events are set for Saturday, October 17. October 17 is the last open Saturday before the market returns, and Kapow's prix fixe at 32 SE 2nd Ave is a short walk from the studio.

October 24 Is the Turning Point

The Thursday before, Sounds of The Set plays Libby Wesley Plaza from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on October 22. Then Saturday, October 24, puts two of the district's biggest recurring draws on the same morning:

  1. 8 to 11 a.m. The Witches of Delray Ride.
  2. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Delray Winter GreenMarket opens its season at Old School Square, 51 N Swinton Ave.
  3. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trick-or-treating along Atlantic Avenue.
  4. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kidsfest at Old School Square, on the same grounds as the market.
  5. 1 p.m. The Halloween parade, from Federal Highway west to Old School Square.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., three of these events run at the same time: trick-or-treating on Atlantic Avenue, and Kidsfest and the market at Old School Square. At 1 p.m. the parade heads west from Federal Highway and ends at Old School Square too. Dada and Jimmy's Bistro are both on Swinton, a few steps from where the parade ends. Jimmy's weekday discount doesn't apply on a Saturday, but Dada's $39 prix fixe does.

The following Saturday is October 31. It's the second GreenMarket of the season and the last day of the thirteen extensions still running after October 15.

What Comes After the Deals

Once the offers expire, the calendar takes over. The Delray Beach Historical Society holds its 12th Annual Fall Fest on Friday, October 30, at 5 p.m. Coco Market Wellness Festival uses the Old School Square amphitheater on Sunday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The First Friday Art Walk follows on November 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. Art on the Square brings nearly 100 juried artists to a free outdoor show at the Cornell Art Museum on November 7 and 8. That Saturday, November 7, is also a GreenMarket day. The market runs every Saturday through November 28, so Old School Square hosts two weekend events at once.

The October deals are the last of September's promotion, and the November calendar is the first of the season. October 15 and October 31 are the dates that separate them.
